The Influence of Industrial Class Program in Improving the Eleventh Grade Students’ Achievement of Automotive

Abstract


The purposes of this research are: 1) To know the eleventh grade students’ achievement who did not join in the industrial class. 2)To know the eleventh-grade students’ achievement who joined in the industrial class. The type of this research is quasi experimental design by using nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is the eleventh-grade students of automotive that has amount 156 students consist of 4 (four) classes. Sampling technique is used in this research, and taking 10 (ten) students in each class, so all the sample are 40 students. The instrument of this research is the result of the test and observation sheet. The descriptive analytical statistic and inferential analytical statistic are used in analytical technique. The research’s result showed that there is an improvement in the result study for the students who join in industrial class. The average of result study for the students who did not join the industrial class is 66 and it includes in the medium category from 30 students. And the result study for the students who join the industrial class is 77.88 and it includes in the high category from 10 students. the inferential statistic’s result is t count 3.460 > t table 1.692 and it significances < 0,05, so we can conclude that applying industrial class can improve the students’ result study of the eleventh grade students of automotive in SMK Islam Secang in the school year 2018/2019.
