IDENTIFICATION OF ACCREDITATION ASSESSMENT SYSTEM IN NONFORMAL EDUCATION

The challenge of nonformal education in the future is the ability of nonformal education to improve the quality of services in order to compete the existence with a formal education. To improve the existence of nonformal education, it is important to accredit the programs and institutions in nonformal education. Accreditation is one of the efforts to achieve the quality standard of education. In Undang-Undang No. 20. 2003 regarding National Education System in Article 60 paragraph 1 explained that accreditation is conducted to determine the feasibility of education programs on formal and nonformal education path at every level and type of education. The non-formal education accreditation assessment policy of 2015-2017 uses offline-based system instruments whereas the accredited education accreditation assessment policy of 2018 begins to use online-based system instruments using DAPODIK. Both accreditation assessment systems have their own peculiarities. This article will describe (1) a description of the offline nonformal education accreditation assessment mechanism, (2) description of the online nonformal education accreditation assessment mechanism, (3) identification of the advantages and disadvantages of offline and online accreditation assessment system.
