PENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN KIMIA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENTS (TGT)

This study aims to improve the activity and student learning outcomes in learning chemistry student 4 Class XI IPA SMAN 1 Banguntapan school year 2016/2017 through the implementation of cooperative learning model TGT (Teams Games Tournaments). This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted a collaborative and participatory. The research was conducted in two cycles with the research subjects the entire student student 4 Class XI IPA SMAN 1 Banguntapan 2016/2017 school year totaling 28 students. Data collection is done by observation, filling a questionnaire by the students, and the study of documents. In addition to the authors as instruments, other instruments used to collect data in this research is the observation sheets, questionnaires, and instructional documents. Data from the observation sheet were analyzed using the guidelines and criteria established. Analysis of data from questionnaires and document learning is done through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that through the five stages in cooperative learning TGT comprising the step class presentations, group study, games, tournaments and awards groups, can enhance the activity and student learning outcomes in learning chemistry student class XI IPA 4 SMA N 1 Banguntapan Year lesson 2016/2017. Based on observations, the average activity of students in the first cycle of 49.05% with criteria of moderate and average active students in the second cycle of 69.93% with high criteria. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the average activity of students in the first cycle of 70.09% with a high criteria, while in the second cycle of 78.37% with high criteria. Based on the tournament happened improving student learning outcomes from the first cycle to the second cycle, the average value of the tournament the first cycle that mastery learning 60.54 to 14.29%, while the average value of students in the second tournament is 76.79, with 53.57% mastery learning. The expected learning outcomes have been achieved for the second cycle students ≥ 50% of students scored ≥ 76 tournament.
