PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMAHAMI INFORMASI TEKS NONFIKSI MENGGUNAKAN METODE PQ4R PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD N GONDOLAYU

The purpose of this research (1) to describe the improvement in understanding skills non-fiction text information using the PQ4R method and (2) to describe the activity in 4thgrade students of SDN Gondolayu participating in learning using the PQ4R method.  The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) that consists of two cycles.  The result of this research indicates (1) understanding skills non-fiction text information on pre-action get an average 11,05.  In the first cycle, the average score of students increases 12,50 and second cycle the average score of students increases 15,05.  (2) student activities increase in each cycle.  This can be seen in first cycle observation get an average of 25,78 and increased in second cycle observation 29,63.  Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that PQ4R method can improve activities and understanding skills non-fiction text information in 4thgrade students of SDN Gondolayu.
