IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TGT (TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII C SMP N 2 SANDEN, BANTUL

The aim of this observation is to describe the mathematic learning process which apply TGT
cooperative type learning method to increase the mathematic proclivity and achievement of
student in class VIII C SMP N 2 Sanden, Bantul. The type of this observation is Class
Action Research (CAR). The Data accumulation technique in this observation using
observation technique, questionnaire technique, test technique, documentation and range of
activity record technique. After applied the cooperative type TGT learning method in class
VIII C SMP N 2 Sanden, Bantul. The result of the observation indicated that the mathematic
proclivity and study achievement of student have been advance. Its indicated by the average
presentation progress of study proclivity student in pra step amounted 48,66% advance to
60,31% at the cycle I and 68,88% at the cycle II. The student mathematic achievement are
advance, according to the average of pra step amounted 71,25 to 77,5 and at the end of cycle
I and then 82,5 at the end of cycle II. Whereas the student presentation who get point ≥ 75
advance too. Which at pra step amounted 35,71% to 64,29% in cycle I and then 85,71% in
cycle II. According to the observation teachers have to use TGT cooperative type of learning
method in mathematic course especially in another material as an alternative to advance the
student proclivity and study achievement in mathematic learning.
