Development of Moodle-Based E-Learning Interactive Learning Media in Sistem Kelistrikan Kapal III Course at STIMARYO

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-learning media based on moodle in the Sistem Kelistrikan Kapal III course at the Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta Maritime Engineering Study Program. This research is a research and development or Research and Development using the ADDIE method. The research location is at the STIMARYO). The population of this research is the cadets of the Ship Engineering Study Program in the fourth semester of the 2021/2022 academic year with a sample of 18 cadets. Data were taken through observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the development of interactive learning media indicate that the Moodle-based interactive e-learning media has met the requirements and is considered feasible to be used in e-learning learning. This can be seen from the results of the validation by media experts and material experts. Testing the effectiveness of interactive learning media, it was found that there were differences in post test scores between the class A cadet group who were given electric motor material using interactive learning media and the B class cadet group who was given electric motor material using conventional methods. The average score of class A cadets is 84.44 while class B is 72.22. The trial using the t-test also shows the results of t arithmetic (5.72) > t table (1.74) which means H0 is rejected (H1 is accepted), namely there is a difference in learning achievement between class A and class B. From the data analysis it is concluded that the use of e-learning interactive learning media is suitable to be used in learning the Sistem Kelistrikan Kapal III course in the Ship Engineering Study Program at the Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta. The results of this study in the form of interactive learning media can be used in other study programs at the Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta.
