Abstrak

Reflective thinking is one of the determinants of student success in solving math problems. Therefore reflective thinking needs attention from the teacher. However, most evaluation processes only assess how students do and the end result when solving math problems regardless of why students choose steps to solve the problem. This study aims to determine the profile of students' reflective thinking ability in solving PISA math problems on content quantity. Subjects in this study were six students of grade VIII SMP N 1 Salatiga academic year 2016-2017. Data collection techniques in this study using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the results of written tests and interviews shows that the profile of reflective thinking ability in solving PISA math problems on the content of quantity for each type of process of mathematization are: 1) For formulating situations mathematically, there are four subjects that meet all stages of reflective thinking; 2) for the type of employing mathematical concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning there are 2 subjects that can meet all stages of reflective thinking; 3) for the type of interpreting, applying and evaluating mathematical outcomes, there are two subjects that can meet all stages of reflective thinking
