ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN TERHADAP MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA UNTUK SISWA SMP KELAS VIII

Abstrak

Learning media is still minimally used by teachers during the learning process of mathematics, students are still difficult in representing mathematics materials, especially the equation of the line, and the level of creativity of students belonging to the low category. This study aims to analyze the needs of students to media learning mathematics for students of class VIII SMP odd semester. This research is a qualitative research with qualitative descriptive research type. The subjects of this research are teachers of mathematics and class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Banguntapan. Data collection techniques were conducted by interview and observation. The data collected in the form of curriculum analysis results, student characteristics, and mathematical material. The data analysis used is interactive analysis. The results showed that: (1) the overall material in accordance with SK, KD, and indicators in 2013; (2) students have difficulties in the equation of the line; (3) the level of student creativity is still low; (4) learning media has not been maximally used during the learning process. Therefore, teachers and students need the development of learning media that can help students more creatively in the learning process of mathematics.
