PRESTASI DAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA MELALUI RECIPROCAL TEACHING

Abstrak

This action research was aimed at describing the students’ achievement and self regulated learning after taking the instruction using the Reciprocal Teaching Approach. The subjects were the students of the Mathematics Education Department of FKIP Universitas Tamansiswa Palembang taking Geometry Subject in the 2014/2015. The steps of this two-cycle action research included: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The prior condition (pre-cycle) showed that the average of students’ achievement is 74.64 with the average student passing is 64,29%. After the application of Reciprocal Teaching, the average of students’ achievement increased to 77.14 in cycle I (71.42%) and to 80.36 (85.71%) in cycle II. The students’ learning independence also improved. from 57.14% in pre-cycle to 69.71% in cycle I and to 86.29% in cycle II. Self regulated learning show the positive result. The students showed positive respons. The students were enthuastic in joining the class.
