Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the needs of textbook development subject of Mathematics Curriculum Analysis of SMP / MTs and produce a valid prototype. This research is an R & D research using modified development model according to Plomp. The development steps are: (1) initial investigation, (2) design stage, (3) realization stage (construction), and (4) test, evaluation and revision phase. At the initial investigative stage, the researcher analyzes the needs include: student skill analysis and competency analysis of graduates of mathematics education program related to curriculum. At this stage, the researcher found that the students' ability in analyzing the curriculum is still low indicated by the inability to compile and evaluate the learning planning documents with the rules set out in the curriculum 2013. Furthermore, the rapid development of curricula has not been responded by the availability of textbooks current. At the design stage, researchers designed the format and map of textbook concepts to be developed. In the realization stage, the researcher managed to arrange prototype of text book according to the design stage result. In the test, evaluation and revision phase, the researcher submits the textbook validation to the expert and performs the improvement based on expert input. The validation results show that the textbook prototype has been valid and ready to be tested in the field.
