Abstrak

Analysis of Student's Difficulties in Solving Linear Program Problems In Students of Class X TKJ SMK PIRI 2 Yogyakarta. This study aims to determine the difficulties experienced by students TKJ SMK PIRI 2 Yogyakarta class in solving linear programming problems. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research is the TKJ SMK PIRI 2 Yogyakarta class of 18 students. Selection of research subjects based on interviews with teachers and observation of learning. From the results of interviews and observations found that the average value of daily re-students of class X TKJ lowest compared with the other X class. Technique of collecting data using test method, observation method, interview, and documentation. Taknik data analysis done with data reduction phase, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that students had difficulty in concept of system of linear inequality, concept of graph, and mathematical model. Students also have difficulty using the principle of corner point test, the difficulty of disclosing information from the problem, and also difficulty in performing the calculation operations. The causative factor is that students have not understood the concept of linear proram, have not understood the principle in linear program material used when solving linear program problems, lacking accuracy in performing algebraic operations, not yet mastering the concept of graph.
