Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to determine the positive effect of cooperative learning model of snowball throwing type toward the achievement of mathematics learning of grade XI IPS MA Yappi Gubukrubuh. This research type is quasi experiment research .. Population in this research is student class XI consisting of 3 class.. The 2 class samples from 3 classes were taken by Cluster Random Sampling technique. Class XI IPS A as experimental class and class XI IPS B as control class. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted with documentation and tests .. The results showed that the average class using the snowball throwing model of 65.95 and the average class using the conventional model of 51.43. The analytical technique using t-test obtained the result t_hitung of 2.5398 and t_table of 1.645 because t_hitung more than t_tabel then the learning using cooperative model of snowball throwing more effective than using conventional model.
