Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to describe the application of 3N model (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) to improve the motivation and achievement of learning mathematics in the students of class X Culinary 2 SMKN 4 Yogyakarta. This research manifests classroom action research. Conducted by observation techniques, questionnaires, test techniques, and documentation techniques. Questionnaire technique by calculating the motivation questionnaire percentage, and the test is done by calculating the average student score and calculating the percentage that meets the standard value. The results showed after the application of 3N model on learning mathematics, student learning motivation and learning achievement increased. The average percentage of motivation in cycle I was 78.61% and became 86.74% in cycle II. While the achievement of student learning mathematics seen from the average value and percentage. The average initial value is 66.50 to 72.87 in cycle I and increases to 81.62 in cycle II. In the pre-action, students who achieved a standard score of 40.6% to 62.5% in cycle I and increased 87.5% of students in cycle II. It is recommended that teachers in learning mathematics further improve the 3N learning model (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) on other materials as an alternative motivation and student learning achievement increases.
