EVALUASI PROGRAM ECC (ENGLISH CONVERSATION CLUB) DI SMA NEGERI 6 YOGYAKARTA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL CIPP
Abstract
Abstrak: Evaluasi dengan model Context, Input, Process and Product (CIPP) digunakan untuk menilai sebuah program, termasuk program ekstrakurikuler.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa anggota program ECC tentang program ECC di SMAN 6 Yogyakarta pada tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Selain itu untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif program ECC dapat memfasilitasi anggotanya mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan model CIPP. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif yaitu dengan menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 31 siswa anggota program ECC. Kuisioner yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari KarataÅŸ and Fer (2009). Hasil wawancara dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa setuju dengan program ECC karena program ECC dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dan kepercayaan diri para siswa untuk berbicara di depan umum, mendapatkan lebih banyak pengetahuan, kosakata dan tata bahasa, mendapatkan lebih banyak kegiatan yang menyenangkan dan mendapatkan lebih banyak teman. Namun perlu dilakukan adanya perbaikan pada teknik penyampaian materi sehingga siswa lebih tertarik untuk mengikuti kegiatan juga perbaikan dalam penjadwalan kegiatan dan materi yang harus dikuasai siswa.

Abstract: Evaluation using the Context, Input, Process and Product (CIPP) model is used to assess a program, including extracurricular program.
This study aimed at determining the responses of ECC program members about the ECC program at SMAN 6 Yogyakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year as well as knowing how effective the ECC program can facilitate its members in achieving the goals set. This research was conducted with an evaluation research method using the CIPP model. Data collection techniques were carried out through qualitative and quantitative methods using questionnaires and interviews. The respondents in this study were 31 students who were members of the ECC program. The questionnaire used in this study was adapted from KarataÅŸ and Fer (2009). Interview results were analyzed through descriptive statistics.
The results of this study indicate that most students agree with the ECC program because the ECC program can improve students' speaking ability and confidence to speak in public, they can get more knowledge, vocabulary and grammar, more fun activities and more friends. But it is necessary to make improvements in terms of the technique in delivering material so that students are more interested in participating as well as improvements in scheduling activities and materials that students must master.
