UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII/D SMP N 1 KRETEK BANTUL DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF GROUP INVESTIGATION

the purpose of this research was to improve studentâ€™s activity and mathematics achievementÂ students of class VII D SMP N 1 Kretek Bantul with cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI) model. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were students of class VII D which is 28 students. Techniques of data collection in this research was done by using observation, tests, and documentation. Result of this research showed an increase in studentâ€™s activity and mathematics achievement of students in the learning process. This is indicated by an increase in percentage of students liveliness on the first cycle is 48,21% with middle classification, while on the second cycle increased to 70,09% with a high classification. Mathematics achievement also increased in each compared with the student first value. The percentage of students who have KKM also increased the pre-cycle at a 3,57%Â increased to 53,57% in the first cycle, the second cycle again increased to 78,57%.
