Abstract

This study aims to (1) to determine how the approach TGT cooperative learning model  in  order  to  improve  students'  motivation  to  learn  mathematics  X  class  at  SMK Candirejo Borobudur (2) to determine how the approach TGT cooperative learning model in order to improve student achievement in math class X Candirejo SMK Borobudur. Results showed an increase in motivation and student achievement in the learning process.  Increase  in  the  percentage  of  students'  motivation  in  pre-cycle  is  42%  with qualifications are, in the  first cycle increased to 65.8% with higher qualifications and the second cycle increased to 73.6% with a higher classification. Percentage of students who meet the KKM also increased in pre-cycle 60% fixed with 60% in the first cycle, and the second cycle increased to 80%. The results could be a mathematics teacher input to increase motivation and mathematics achievement through cooperative Teams Games Tournament (TGT).
