Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the result and active learning of the students in VIIB grade of SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo Klaten using cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively. Subjects of this research are VIIB students of SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo Klaten 32 students. Data of active learning student was collected through observation. Data of students' mathematics learning outcomes were collected through testing and documentation. Observations indicate increased student activity cycle I 61.16% and cycle II 71.35%. Increased students' mathematics learning outcomes viewed from the average value and completeness KKM. The average value of 58.34 with 13 pre-cycle students who completed, the cycle I 64.48 with 16 student who completed, and cycle II of 71.88 with 20 students who completed. Researcher hoped teachers can apply NHT models.
