Abstract

The purposeof study was to determine the learning process using a model of Creative Problem Solving and to determine the increase understanding of concept and mathematics learning activity class XI-IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Imogiri. The research subjects were students of class XI-IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Imogiri and object of this study in the understanding of the concept and activity of students in learning mathematics. This is shown from the data pre-cycle observations by 42.85% with moderate category, increased to 61.90%with the high category in first cycle. then increased again to 85.71% in second cycle with the very high category. As well as understanding the concept of test result, the percentage of completeness obtained pre-cycle 48% with an average of 66. In first cycle increased to 76% with an average of 76.04 and at second cycle increased to 96%) with average value of 86,96.
