MENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA DENGAN PEMBELAJARAN NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to enhance the activity and learning achievement with cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) in class VII MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Muntilan can increase the academic year 2013/2014.The hypothesis of this study is the action in cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) may enhance the activity and learning achievement in class VII MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Muntilan academic year2013/2014. This research is a class action (PTK). Data collection techniques in this study conducted by observation, testing and documentation. The average percentage of students' learning activeness of 45.31% in the first cycle increased to 72.92% in the second cycle. Mathematics learning achievement of students has also increased, judging from the average value of59.78inprecycles to67.10at the end of the first cycle, and increased again at the end of the second cycleinto76.91. While the percentage of completeness of students (with KKM70) also increased, namely the pre-action amounted to34.38% increase to46.88% in the first cycle, and increased to81.25% in the second cycle. Given NHT cooperative learning can enhance the activity and learning achievement of students, thus advisable for math teachers can apply Numbered Head Together (NHT).
